The Ortho Molecular Answer

Shingles (Herpes Zoster)

It is believed that Shingles is caused by the same virus as Chicken Pox.

Symptoms of an outbreak include pain on one side of the body accompanied by tingling or burning sensations.  The skin will begin to redden and blisters will appear.

Once diagnosed with Shingles, it can be treated and cleared with large doses of vitamin C.

Vitamin C inactivates the virus that causes shingles because of its anti-viral and anti-toxin properties.

It is believed that shingles may develop during periods of stress because blood serum levels of vitamin c drop at this time allowing shingles to develop.
